Phoenix Family empowers people living in low-income housing communities with the on-site support they need to gain stability and achieve self-sufficiency.
We envision a day when everyone reaches their full potential.
A stable, safe and decent home holds enormous possibilities for a low-income family striving to chart a more secure and hopeful future. But the residents Phoenix Family serves, like millions of low-income families across the U.S., need more than housing to build personal and financial assets and overcome barriers to success – they also require services where they live. That is where Phoenix Family comes in. Phoenix Family contracts with community owners to provide residents with the critical support services they need. With an average annual household income of $13,600, 54% of our residents earn less than 25% of area median income. Such limited income too often means that they and their families are just one crisis away from becoming homeless. Phoenix Family’s services work together to increase the household’s financial stability. Phoenix Family provides these critical services in 32 low-income housing communities, serving more than 5,600 residents throughout 13 cities in Missouri and Kansas.
