Phoenix Family Selected as a Change for Charity Recipient
KANSAS CITY, MO. – Zona Rosa has selected Phoenix Family Housing as one of six local non-profit organizations to benefit from its popular Change for Charity program in 2010.
Zona Rosa founded the Change for Charity program in 2004 when it first opened as Kansas City’s first urban town center. The program grants Kansas City area charities the proceeds from funds collected through Zona Rosa’s parking meters. Charities were chosen based on community involvement and breadth of reach. Six charities were selected this year and each will receive proceeds from the parking program for the designated two month period. Phoenix Family Housing will receive all funds collected in September/October.
Phoenix Family was selected because of its "significance to this community, and we are proud to be associated with them,” said Rosemary Salerno, general manager of Zona Rosa.
